“Dolphin Crèche is our early year’s care and education service located in the flat complex. We cater for children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years. We are open all year round and offer a part-time morning service from 9am to 1pm to children from Dolphin House and surrounding areas.
Dolphin Crèche is registered with the local TUSLA's Pre-School Services and is a member of Early Childhood Ireland.
Our experienced team of early years educators focus on the individual needs of each child, our curriculum is underpinned by the National Aistear & Siolta framework. We work closely with Better Start Quality Development service to ensure that the children attending the service receive the highest quality care and education that we can provide.
We identify the needs and emerging interests of each and every child and ensure that all the children are seen, heard and respected. We engage with services such as Speech and Language Dept, Early Learning Initiative, Disability Services, SENO and the local primary schools.
We pride ourselves on our partnership with parents and provide support to parents where possible, we work hard to build strong relationships with families. We have developed strong working relationships with supports such as Dublin 8 Family Support Service, the South City Partnership, Rialto Community Network and other local services.
The aim of the service is to provide a safe, nurturing, stimulating, home from home environment for children, our service provides more than care and education. We provide affection. security and consistency aswell as encouraging independence and curiosity. Our staff are dedicated to continued professional development and we endeavour to keep up to date with developments in the early years sector.
Our service is a stimulating environment, we provide age appropriate equipment and materials for the children and we provide opportunities for the cognitive, social and emotional development of each child. We support children who may have more complex needs and AIM (Access and Inclusion Model) support is available for children who need additional support to access the ECCE curriculum.
We provide 2 nutritionally balanced meals each day, a snack in the morning and a hot meal at lunch prepared by our cook onsite. We encourage children to try new foods and we promote healthy eating throughout our menu, minimising processed food & sugar in favour of fresh whole ingredients.
The Crèche currently has places available for children aged 18 months to 5 years.
